3 Reithro, 2 musc, 1 rabbit, 1 skrew, 1 ear tag # 1045 (a musc tagged June 15 on Tilden Grid). 9 Nov. Put 68 skrews in field north of Orinda Pasture; 5 p.m. No green vegetation except a few flecks of perennial grass at lower corner of the field. Nov. 10 at 7:30 a.m. traps held 12 Reithro, 2 muscristae, 1 musc, 1 cricket. Only 1 of the Reithros was a tagged one. I killed it, tagged the other Reithros. Released skrews and musc without tagging. Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. set 12 traps (skrews) at Nimity Triangle, 2am I got there. Nov. 15 at 7 a.m. traps held 5 muscristae and 2 Reithro. Only one of the five (a muscristae) had benovopic dungs. I released 2 of circled the muscristae. Finished analyzing Nov 1 carmine scats from Tilden: 597 Muscristae, 65 musc, 70 Reithro, 1 rabbit, 2 gophers, 1 bird, 1 [illegible], 4 lizard, 1 noctona, many male crickets, melon seeds, and 4 trap: 1317 & musc Aug. 24, 1476 ad - Muscristae Sept. 27, 1507 muscristae Sept. 29, 1518 Reithro & Sept. 29. Picked up 1 pint scats in Orinda north of pasture and 10 owl pellets containing 66 crickets, 14 muscristae, 1 Reithro, 1 [illegible], 4 gophers, 1 rabbit, 1 reptile. Nov. 19 Rain started in evening. Nov. 20 Rain most of night, about 1". First real storm of season, but scattered sun in morning. Nov. 16 Picked up 2 qt's of scats on Tilden area plus ½ pint on Tilden Grid. These came from a quick cruise over most of the good trails and ¼ of the Sequoias. Saw 3 scats, 1 deer, heard howlsowl.
