Row Colburn fines at 4:30 p.m. Lower Line 3 Mnr (song Sparrow; Upper line 1 Mnr. Saw 1 cat. At 4 p.m. Set grid traps: Row A nos. 1, 3, 5 etc., Row B nos. 2, 4, 6 etc. Total 50 traps. Nov. 2 Row traps at 8 a.m. Foggy, grass wet. Saw 1 cat, 3 deer, and 1 Cooper Hawk. At 4 p.m. Sunshining, but fog coming in at 4:30. Lower Colburn line 2 Mnr, upper 0. Saw 2 cats and 1 Sparrow hawk. Set alternate traps on grid = 50 traps Have picked up nests on least 4 days. Did complete coverage of the 35-acre area. Total is 1 qt. from the grid itself and 5 1/2 gallons from rest of the area. Nov. 3 Morning scattered clouds; grass damp but not wet. Saw 2 cats [illegible] and a red-tail on the area; 1 cat just off the area. Lower Colburn 3 Rother and 2 Mnr, upper Colburn 1 Micraster, 1 Rother, 1 Mnr. Picked up Colburn traps.
