While running traps and picking up traps saw 4 cats at one time, another one later. At least 3 of these were different than yesterday's 2, hence 5 or more cats are hunting within 100 yards of the grid. Picked up 2 large owl pellets under the big sequoias amidst the sequoias. Contained 3 miniature and 1 bird. 20 tags. The owl pellets from the pasture on Sept 20 contained 6 miniature and 1 bird (pigeon?), no tags all miniature trapped this summer have been of adult size, no juveniles. at 6 p.m. set rows A, C, E, F, H, I, J, K. Because of darkness didn't set 3 traps (one each in rows K, J, and H) Missed row E this morning, hence 4 dead mike this afternoon. Saw 2 or more cats and a foxaf ~ 77 traps owl. Sept 27 Morning clear sunny. Saw 1 or more cats. Picked up many more scats amid near grid. Traps.
