Picked up traps. A Mr. Perry, who lives above the merry-go-round in Tilden Park, phoned MVZ because he had trapped a tagged mouse at the M-G-R. # 1030, tagged as an adult q on the grid near Mineral Springs on June 14. Not seen since. He has had more mouse trouble this year than in any of the last 5 years. Distance travelled = 3500 ft Left 25 At 5 p.m. set first 8 rows of Tilden grid; = 80 traps Weather hot and sunny. Saw 2 cats within 100 yards of the grid. Picked up cornmice scats, most of them conspicuous and obviously deposited since my last collection (in August 26). Some surely old ones overlooked before.
