1961 Mice (1270 at C?) are still not over 20 grams and bad mold pattern down middle of back, Aug. 22 at 5 p.m. set rows A, C, E, H, J, & K of Tilden grid (Sources from Mineral Springs). Lots of white mice in wine. Skunks; oatmeal bait. While I was setting, a Park Ranger came along with a lot of poisoned grain. He was putting handfuls at the bottom of each young Sequoia tree. Some of the trees nicely girdled above the metal collar around the trunk. Weather cool clear. 60 traps. Aug. 23 Row traps 8-9 a.m. Cool, clear some dew. Row A 5 mice, 2 min. 0 Rethro Row C 3 " 0 " 2 Rethro Row E 2 " 1 " 1 " Row H 2 " 2 " 3 " Row J 3 " 4 " 2 " Row K 1 " 1 " 5 " \frac{16}{16} \quad \frac{10}{10} \quad \frac{13}{13} = 39 mice. Only 1 of the mice (a mouse) was a tagged one. Tagged it released the mouse & Rethro, released mice without tagging so all mice were adult. Clear traps, at 6 p.m. set rows B, D, F, H, I, J, & K = 70 traps. Aug. 24 at 8 a.m. (light dew, some dew, moon almost full): Row B 3 mice, 2 min. and 1 Rethro. Row D 3 " 2 " 2 " Row E 3 " 2 " 2 "
