B.R MOON 1987 Species Account Zebra-tailed Lizard (Callisaurus draconoides) 12 April Globe Canyon where road follows wash bottom, Providence Mountains, San Bernardino co., CA T11N R14E sec. 7. Bruce and I found a zebra-tailed lizard on a large, flat surfaced, cement-like rock in the sandy wash. Lizard took cover in a pile of washed out shrub roots when we tried to approach it. 1200 PST. Sunny, windy, ~22°C, elev. ~1100 m. 12 April Intersection of Globe mine road and railroad tracks, at Kelso-Cima Road, Providence Mountains, CA. T11N R13E sec 9 sw'14.. Found an adult ? lizard on a large piece of metal in the sandy/soily, shrubby plains near the railroad tracks. Bruce noosed it. ~1230 PST; elev. ~780 m. Catalog # BRM 26.
