Marshall, 1945 Palau Colluricincla melanoleuca among the branches. Song: Quality & structure of Black- headed Grackle - more rufled and shorter duration. Very musical, Loud & pleasing, but lacking thrush quality of robin. Clear loud and whistled (Easy to imitate & does attract the bird). Nesting: Peleliu 4 December A bird seen carrying a twig in its bill. It would fly around its tree with this stick go into the tree then come out & fly around with the stick again. Never see them out in the open or away from densest forest under natural conditions (Koror, Babel). Absent from 2nd growth forest on Babel. But on Peleliu where there is not enough habitat to go around, you see the birds everywhere & they fly very low and swiftly (like a thrush) from one patch of trees to the next. No set posture - the bird is continually craning its neck - looking every-which way.
