Marshall, 1945 59. Palau Tree Frog Calls only at night. Found among jagged rocks under brush. Dry ground. Abundant - everywhere. "crrrrrnick" Reptiles No Varanus altho rumors of them on Kror ridge. Rumors of Crocodile in inland lagoon, Babethnap. Snakes Whip Snake: I saw 3 Kror 1st in rocks at base ridge - went into a bush of pandanus clump & wound itself around thru the dense foliage & twigs very easily. Looked like a lead gray color - darker above. 2 ft long. Kror 2nd in short grass trailside base of Kror ridge. Very swift - hiked off into brush. A cool damp dark place like the 1st. Same size & color color. Kror 3rd (Collected) Noted constriction back of head - very narrow neck & slender long tent. Kror 3rd - Collected: Deep valley hidden in cuts of main ridge. This snake
