Marshall (1942) Rhynopteryx clamator L. Olenega Feb 6 imitated calls from where I was - an avenue & lg. trees across the grassland - and both members of the pair came high into the trees over my head. Conversed for long time attempting to shine them. It's call higher then it's. They flew back to over the grassland, but I finally got the & to come back & perch upon dead branch 15' above grass - looking at me ears str. up, hooting vertical body position. Looked just like Long-eared Owl. Good eyeshtine.
