Cardinal (10) Every environment except meadow.
Single or often paired.
Goldfinch 50+ Flocks along stream -
mingled with juncos & tree sparrows.
Also seen in woods at edge.
Junco 100+ Flocks - edge woods,
and along stream.
Tree Sparrow - 100+ A few small flocks
in woods. Occasional
individuals in tops dense timber;
largest flock in weeds
land near houses. Feed
close together on ground. Loud clear
robust notes.
Fox Sparrow 1 in weeds.
Song Sparrow (12) Only dense brush along
or near stream, as marked on
map. Two males were
singing snatches of song at
noon.

Starling 260 shell. Taken as
singing on lawn. Flight reminds
me of a swift!
