Piranga lidentata (See separate notes for Cacagnatris Los Eses.) Volcan de Santa Ana # 2320 look up location from catalog. Probably among large planted trees in finca Piranga sulra Lake Olomega Found in large trees in mixed woods SW end lake. "plit-ick" 2 syll. loud & sharp. not long roll like P.ludoviciana. Piranga flavie Lake Olomega SW end lake. also W slope Los Esesmiles 1 pair # 2246 taken. A very clear call Habia rubica and Habia salvini Lake Olomega In field I got to tell these apart by calls, but have forgotten them. In flocks, salvini more numerous, working very close to ground. Found (1) 4 iscoyol palms under giant trees head canyon in Colinas (2) Brush in or vines on stone wall swamp forest (3) Brush in heavily-shaded mixed wood SW end lake (3) Brush in heavily-shaded swamp forest. Usually on ground in this brush.
