Catharus occidentalis

near summit in tract of
rich heavy cloud forest
with great variety of undercovers.
Late in afternoon as passed
this grove (returning from
summit) heard several
Catharuss singing. Apparently
quite half a dozen pairs
breeding in this favorable
habitat. Another example
of a species common on
Los Esesimiles, extremely local
at this area.
