Marshall (1942) Catharus occidentalis Volcan de Santa Ana North Slope near summit in tract of rich heavy cloud forest with great variety of undercovers. Late in afternoon as passed this grove (returning from summit) heard several Catharuss singing. Apparently quite half a dozen pairs breeding in this favorable habitat. Another example of a species common on Los Esesimiles, extremely local at this area.
