San Ignacio, 3000ft., Dept. Chalatenango, El Salvador
March 5 2032 taken on grd. where feeding with
5 or 6 others or in very short grass 1" high,
grazed off in open pine forest (P. Stocarpa)
- typical chippy habitat - sparse pine growth
over almost bare ground - plenty of
clear ground - no bushes - feeding with
Sialia sialis - would flush singly or
in groups & perch in lower horiz. branches.
Rather common - commonest bird in the
pine. F - ova's beginning to enlarge.
Not paired, however.
April 6 F 2269 taken on grd. at dusk. M's
singing in pines.
