4 taken - some feeding in mistletoe in oaks -
other twittering & chasing each other around in
pines & tops broad-leaves. Song ~ goldfinch
but all rattles & harsh notes - very slight. Call
hard to figure because sisters around also.
Were about 7 or 8 - all together in same area
of sparse tall trees (a few oaks & pines) on
brushy ridge below edge cloud forest.
March 20 ♂ 2133 taken from tree in cotton savine logged
off much brush & many redgrowth & tall trees.
Calling from bare exposed twig ~ Call Purple-finch.
No more seen.
March 24 ♀ 2140 taken with a ♂ in twigs half-way up
cloud forest oak on ridge - but a tree on edge
cloud forest & near area where others taken.
