Two Exemplies
March 29 7200 taken early am. as foraged &
called in single young low pine on cleared
slope near cloud forest.
April 1 2233 7 shed & 2234 taken in Perins slope,
occamps & nearly oak ½ way down
w. slope: Common less - loud
clear song repetition of an inflected
vires-like note about 8 at a time. Loud
call a clear descending pee-er ~ Hermit
thrush, several other finch-like notes.
Forage light in foliage of pines. Very
common.
Apr. 6 Found all way down to about
5000 ft - common wherever pines.
