Dec 25-Jan 16 Abundant everywhere except
where no cover. Foraged in shade trees,
coffee bushes, oaks (not seen in
pines) & both types of brush (arid &
humid) Often with mixed flocks.
Lake Olomega, 200 ft., Dept. San Miguel, El Salvador
February/12 Call-note heard in am. while
I was walking up a dry wash into
the Colinas - not seen - came
from brushy area under open tree
growth.
Lake Olomega Los Esmeriles,
March 19 & 2080 taken as foraged about 60' up
Feb 72 in cloud forest tree - open cloud forest.
Abundant here-seen every day esp. in
brush around edges forest. - do-
March 20 As abundant & more so than Chlorospingus in
221 growth oak hill.. Ad J's far outnumbered by
others - always call loudly when I squawk &
they come readily to owl.
Abundant in brush, fern slopes, & along
brushy streams in cloud forest & often high
in cloud forest trees.
