Dendroica graciae
mt. Cacagnatique
Jan 7 ♀ 170 taken from pine tree while foraging high with other warblers.
This bird always heard daily in same group of pines - singing song a trill sort of a cross between D. aestiva + D. auduboni. The only warbler singing on the mt. Sang regularly all day long - 2 others found on 2 other ridges where pine groves - these 3 birds heard every time I passed those 3 pine groves.
Very restricted - to pines. Would stay in their trees after the mixed flocks of wintering warblers would pass on. Foraged in foliage like D. townsendi no flights out of tree like D. auduboni Stayed high up.
San Ignacio 3000 ft. Dept Chaltenango
April 6 ♂ 2270 taken as sang 1/2 way up 30' pine at dusk.
