Dec 25-Jan 16 Almost always paired - abundant everywhere when there were trees.
Often set in top coffee bushes.
Common in heaviest oak timber & infirca & oaks clear to summit.
Calls: 1 a rattly trill 2 a low whistle 1st rising, then falling inflection like a guy whistling at a dame. One of most common birds.
