Marshall, 1942 Antonius versipex To Esmeril. Aprl 6 of roots overhanging the bank. Walked with no sound at all. Flows low & rapidly into some brush where I shot at it as perched tail low-- body horiz [illegible] - red tail conspic in a little shaft sunlight. But it flew while I was pulling trigger - gave alarm not - c-r-moment or prevrrrit for a while - in nest 45min - foraged around same area, had 2 more calling spells - never could see it. If it called - I could prolong calling by answering but it didn't would't answer me at starting from scratch.
