Marshall, 1942 Ortalis leucogaster Lake Olomega Only in dense large trees either along Rio San Miguel (but not in the swamp forest) or at very edge of lake. Very silent & inconspic. Spec. taken from latter place. One day saw 2 or 3 in trees about ½ mi. from Lake. At the river- would fly along or across R. & perch high on dead trees, tail down, head & neck very slender, & held high. White tail tip conspic. in flight.
