Marshall, 1942 Falco alligularis mt. Cacagnatique Jan 3 See gn. acct. p.14. Nate Jees saw another at same place several days later - perched on dead snag at top of pk. & didn't allow approach nearer then 100 yds. 1673 ♂ skin & skeleton - forgot to take measurements. Feb 17 Lake Olompga In afternoon, 2 flew several times around camp calling loudly ~ sparrow-hawk but louder & fiercer. fight in air, alternate swift flapping & soaring in circles. Jul 19 I seen & heard over timber & camp in early am. Chilata Found feathers & pellets below clinch in big gp cave in gorge. A pair occupied a rocky knoll above this gorge. Perched in caspic places. One time appeared to be feeding on termites in air. Once watched pursued by Collared Swifts. Missed both birds. Called frequently ~ sparrow hawk.
