Call a loud harsh long rattle. Fly with shallow wing-beats, head bill pointing down, neck str out. Another pair at large tall snag standing above dense low Feb 24 forest & camp. Seen everyday - chased by Micrastur semitorquatus early am. Not seen at carrion except once or twice at camp. Carrion put for vultures 25-yds from 1st nest tree, yet didn't come.
