Marshall, 1942 Herpetotheres cachinnans Lake Chonaga Not as much in evidence as Mirastus because apparently move around more. The last 2 mornings at camp a pair was calling from large trees at edge of lake - duet. Previously I had been seen in large tree in arid type forest. Chilata Several heard; one call from stream gorge. Calls: duet - loud single note is upward inflected (the opposite of Mirastus) heard on cloudy afternoon & rainy am. Notes get faster & faster then each proceeded by higher note guoo guags.
