Jan 4 One seen pursued by sparrow hawk - flying low over clearing near haindels.
Jan 5 ♀ 1686 Taken by Nate Geer from ridge of Mt. Black phase larger than costaricensis.
- Pair seen over clearing several other times - fairly common.

♀ in 1831 (bird, scinurus, grasshoppers) taken by Hildebrand in evening flying over open fields near shore.
Loa Escondido Common - must have been a dozen pairs on the Mt.
