at flat field at base (bar) grackles
& Cowbirds; cornfields bushy gullies
season flecked by cornfield at
N.E. base: Calothraur lucifer,
Chamaeclypis, common quail (sp?),
Sabrewing rufus, Melanotis
reblits, & Volatinia, Aimophila,
Zonotrichia.
In oak forest
(in aspect like incert oaks
or cacagnatigue - not so much like
Los Esesmeles - not very high.)
Verivira superciliosa very abundant,
Hylorchela rustulata many singing,
Wilsonia, Teris solatarus (saw 2),
Peranga leucoptera (saw 4), Lepidocolptes
affines (saw 2) heard what I presume
is quail-dove (2 or more), saw & coll.
2 Chlorophonia, many I. rufochloritis,
Heard no robins.
April 15 Censo del Aguila in am. - different
birds on different peaks! Same place
as on 12th but Aplarhis flaviventris,
Tityra, heard Striped Cuckoo (?),
Seirus auracapillus, Cissilopta, Quail
Dove in addition.
April 16 Hiked to Laguna de las Ranas which
is about a mile airline directly,
