Marshall, 1942 Ma Full Acre Volcan de Santa Ana, Dept. Santa Ana, El Salvador. April 11 Apr. 11 Am. cloudy & windy. Hunted up hill s-e camp then finca the pasture (grass corn & brush - where Zonotrichia, Aimophila rufescens, Troglodytes musculus common & singing & Melopelia asiatic in flight) tree not list. cloud forest with much underbush. Followed what I think were Atlapetes in brush edge cloud forest - saw pair Diglossa & shot one (♂ 2273) there. In cloud forest noted Empidonax flavescens, & Vermivora superciliosa (abundant) & Turdus infuscatus singing. On cornfields & brush (some tracts very dense high brush) on E side ridge coll. Empidonax traillii (2272), Vateria very abundant in flocks (2274, 2277), [alligulularis] Zonotrichia everywhere - singing from Cypresses. Heavier brush: Cirislopha, heard thanophilus, Wilsonia, coll. T. rufitorques from top lone tree. Many sparrows & things in brush - one with call ~ Melopiza melodia - couldn't track down. [Empidonax alligularis] April 12 coll on SE flank of main core of Cerro del Agila at about 5500 ft. A good winds up this hillside where
