July 5 Mary Co. Gaff with Ned Stone of Cordelia to Green Valley, "Green Valley". "Wind;" and "New Mexico." Cordelia, New Mexico, where I was born. I were in a place called "Gaff" and saw a bird on the ground. It was a small bird with a long tail. The bird flew away when I tried to catch it. I did not see any other birds in that area. There were many trees and bushes around me. The air was cool and fresh. I felt very happy to be there. I enjoyed watching the birds fly around. They seemed so free and happy. I wished I could have stayed longer to enjoy the beauty of nature more. But time passed quickly and I had to leave soon after. I left feeling sad but hopeful for what might happen next.
