Marshall , 194 Nephocetes niger San Juan Id., San Juan Co., Wash. August 13 At noon, several nighthawks were in the air above a coastal knoll ½ way between Friday Harbor & Cattle Pt. Also many barn swallows foraging closer to the ground. As usual, once would expect to see swifts with day- foraging nighthawks. Finally 3 or 4 became invisible high above the nighthawks but soon returned to the "Stratosphere".
