Marshall, 1939 Flagstaff, Ariz. Otus flammeolus had answered my notes with single hoots, then preceded by double grace note, then I had considerably lowered pitch & changed quality toward Greater type. Prepared at 1657 immediately 1st taking out contents of full stomach & saving in tissue paper. (about 1/2 hr. after coll.) At about midnight started out again in same direction as before.
