Lilleland (1933.) Itinerary (July) July/18 Rumble would assist in spotting or tracing them and in addition see that they were properly sacked. Needless to say, driver also spotted many). We collected in less than an hour 24 specimens of Phrynosoma platyrhinus and 2 leopard lizards. After this we drove to the Allen Ranch in Hot Creek where we inquired about getting a hose connection for Dr Hall's car. We were directed to the Indian Camp a short walks up the hill where Dr Hall outguessed the Shoshone and came away with the cooling system of the Ford repaired. Spent the afternoon putting up specimens, At 4:30 went with S.D Durrant and Jack Arnold to Hot Creek where we set traps in the meadow along the creek flowing into the Allen Ranch. Saw no signs of Microtus mordax which we were eager to take, but did find several gopher mounds. Lacked the mattock to dig with so we merely set mouse traps along creek. Jack Arnold and self set a few on opposite side of Road i.e. 5 of Road coming from Fish Lake Valley - We then drove 4/5 mi S of Hot Creek and set out traps on both sides of the Road going to Tonopah. Started raining at 5:15:50
