Lilleland 1933 Itinerary - 21 Cont'd July 14. of nettles, Shot one, a hen. Time 12:40 Followed stream as far as possible. Saw several deer tracks near stream. Arrived at top of divide at 1:45. Saw @ Gallospermophilus near a pinion. Walked over to basin on top of the mountain - Saw the most beautiful sight of entire trip to date. A succession of small meadows, a small stream flowing through middle and a rocky rim running roughly NW and SE supporting the last vestige of winter, a bank of snow. Saw a large sage hen feeding alone below snow. Climbed west rim of basin and could distinguish Mt. Jefferson, Mt Togima, Table Mountain and what I thought was Camp #2, the house in the valley above Belmont. Shot a Junco and an audubon warbler right in the basin. The warbler was in a quaking aspen and the junco was down under a large rock taking a drink. The time was then 3:30. Came upon a deer in an aspen grove on E slope. Stopped to take some pictures. Intermittent showers fell from time to time. Started down at 4 pm. Wandered down into canyon where I had shot sage hen. In aforementioned dense aspen grove I lay down
