Collected Genetta albivertris (Rusty spotted genet) EX. KM-13645 ♂, 3 Aug. 1929, Andorra (Okavango - S.W. Africa, 1060m), Shartridge. HB-530, TI-535, HF96, Ear-48. Spots rusty instead of black, spots also larger and fewer than in G. felina. Other color whitish grey, below whitish or brownish grey, tail ringed with rusty black, except tip and last 3 rings which are more black than rusty. Collected Genetta tigrina (Large-spotted Genet) EX. KM-13610 ♀, 20 Nov. 1946, KingWilliams Town, C.P., A.C. Donion, HB-540, TI-520, HF115 Ear-60. Spots larger and fewer than G. felina, black spots with a light rusty tinge on some spots only 7 black rings on tail, tail tipped black. Base color the same as in others - whitish grey, Genetta sp? KM-13646 ♂, 8 Oct. 1938, 3330', Balouale, Barotseland, N. Rhodesia. HB-520, TI-485, HF-103 Ear-?7 Seven black rings on tail, tip black, rings toward end run together dorsally, black streak on back from mid-back streaks and spots more mottled rusty brown, and indistinct, background color more brownish white, legs Genetta sp? KM-13647 ♂, 23 Sept. 1938, 3330', Balouale, Barotseland. HB-510, TI-515, HF-102, Ear-60. Either an melanistic phase or a new variety or sub-species, Black tail, rings hardly visible, black neck and shoulders. black spots, black below, very little lighter color than Palm Civit - (Namdivia binotata) ♀, N'Kowejong, betwee Lolodorf and Bipindi, Cameroons 1930. - rusty furry with patches of black for black spots running down back 9 rows, tail ringed, lighter below.
