Koford, Ralf R. 1974 Journal 1 Dec. White Cloud campground, 11 miles east of Nevada City, Nevada Co., Calif. ~4300 ft. I watched, or rather looked for, squirrels from 0656 until 1230, with a 20-min. break for breakfast. I caught 1 squirrel and gave it an ear tag. I also went around to many of the trees I had catalogued earlier in the year to add information on what had happened since my earlier attempt to get an idea of cone production and consumption. Wind light, temp. in the 40's (°F). I left shortly after 1230. Table of additional cones and cores found under trees in the study area.
