Rolf R. 1974 Journal 20 June Markwood Meadow, 6 mi. east of Shaver Lake, Fresno Co., Calif. ~ 6000 ft. See 17 June for description of habitat. The sky was clear all day, temp. was around 45°F in the morning, low 70's by early afternoon. Wind 1-5 mph. I started watching chickarees around the camp area at 0605, stayed mostly in the immediate area but took about an hour to walk around on the south side of the creek. Observations ceased at 2000.
