Koford, R. 1876 Journal White Cloud campground, 4300 ft., 11 mi. E Nevada City (by rd.), Nevada Co., Calif. 23 Sept. morning, becoming overcast in the mid-afternoon, then clearing. Wind light. Temp. 51°F at 0625, 78°F at 1430, 60°F at 1930. 24 Sept. I spent 0713-1110, 1300-1915 in the 2nd study area. Temp. 57°F at 0700, 75°F at 1300, 61°F at 1930. 25 Sept. I spent 0628-1305, 1430-1920 in the 2nd study area. I opened the 15 traps at 0930-0850, closed them ~1730. Temp. 55°F at 0620, 73°F at 1425, 60°F at 1930. In the early afternoon I came upon one Gray Squirrel chasing another. They went ~ 4m, then one stopped and the one being chased continued on the ground ~ 15m, then seemed to forage there. 26 Sept. I spent 0618-1310, 1805-1915 in the 2nd study area, counting a family in the morning and evening, seems that another family still had the mother coming to the
