Loford, Rolf R. 1974 Journal 18 June Markwood Meadow, 6 mi. east of Shaver Lake, Fresno Co., Calif. ~6000 ft. 1 Habitat and environment as described for 17 June except it's a little cooler. Also there was more activity. A black labrador was chained 10 m. west of the middle of the corral throughout the night and Several vehicles were in the area also. Scattered clouds moving rapidly northward appeared about 1200 and the wind picked up to 5-10 mph. By 1500 the cloud cover was almost complete and the wind was 10-15 mph. Around 1700 the sun was shining intermittently but the sky was still mostly overcast. Later it cleared up again. I walked around the camp area and observed chickarees
