8 April It didn't snow much last night - perhaps 1 cm. or so. The early morning was lightly overcast, then the total cloud cover broke up and there was 80-50% cloud cover, along with warm temperatures most of the morning. This resulted in much of the piled snow on the branches falling off in big globs and constant dripping under the trees. Then at 1315 it started to snow lightly and for the rest of the day, except for about an hour break around 1600, it snowed. Most of it was quite wet, though, and didn't stick to the road or the hood of the truck. After sunset the sky cleared up - stars could be seen at 2115. Temp. at 0830 was 29°F; at 1015 it was 40°F, at 1330 it was 34°F; at 1930 it was still 34°F; and at 2115 it was 32°. The tree drip continued even during the afternoon snow and in to the night. However, in the morning I saw 2 Snowshoe Hare tracks and some tracks that may have been mice - Peromyscus maniculatus? They were clearer than those I'd seen on 6 April, and the front feet marks could be
