Koford, Rolf 1975 Journal White Cloud campground, 4 miles east of Nevada City, Nevada Co., Ca. ~4300 ft. 4 Jan. overcast until after sunset, when it cleared up completely. Wind was light. 5 Jan. I looked for squirrels from 0710 until 0930, when I left, eating breakfast from 0800 until 0830. There were still globs of snow on some trees, but not nearly as much as there had been 2 days ago. The snow was crusty, not good for tracking. Temp. at 0700 was 32°, sky clear all morning.
