Fork no Talara, Dpt. Pira, Peru.
No note in bird notes analyzing third
Returned to camp. Set out additional birds but not under magnifier.
Wabson can repair. Departed in afternoon for Talara, where we stopped. Then drove on to Piura (dinner). Then on road 6 to Olmos, and 10 ½ mi. toward Porella. Pass to the red bridge. Camped then at ranbriti (same site as one 1969 camp)
in near small mowing stream among bella w. species deciduous woodland, now leafless but w. many bromeliads.

6 August 1970. Collected 2 summer tanagers and a black white tanager (one in colony; 2 given to B. Jones). Set up camp, Erik & I prepared to depart. Red drove us to Chiclayo, where we took a boggero bus at 9 p.m. for Lina (700 soles).
7 August 1970. Arrived Lima 0830 - foggy & drizzly. We went to Hotel del Sol, then Francisco, me, Teatro Municipal. Then visited Plunge in Miraflores to get stored specimens.
8 August 1970. Repached to depart in evening day plane for San Francisco. Departed 2240 p.m. on Braniff fl. 920.
9 August 1970. Arrived Los Angeles before dawn and went through customs. Some conversation about letting specimens in, but no delay. On to San Francisco, where took bus to Oakland. Drove to Berkeley.
