C. Koford 16 Journal 9 July 1970 To Limbani valley, Dept. Per. Pere. Three to Quillo and on to Cuero, arriving during lunch hour. Then on about 20 miles to Arigua summit (15700'). Apostoliba is a rock formation and various small lakes there. Food in good repair; no traffic. Saw no vivivera in Cuero region. About 2 miles down from summit was point where I tunneled in order to my 1951 camp. Foggy in this area and on down to where we camped in canyon, at 13100 ft. I set 20 live traps & 15 snap traps under boulders & rocks near grass, shrubs, often on more away [illegible] forms - may get Oryzomyne or Phyllotis schesneri. This region little changed since 1951; a few new inhabitants at higher levels. Arigua area brown, the green near water & Distichlis potatorum. Near camp, I set about 15 snap traps. LC found flowers that are not in flower beds on. Saw many meadowlarks along rocky hills below road in descending. Have one Clethrionys peromyscus alive still; 2 opening left at Colorado. Hail as we started up to Arigua, precipitate on both side ridge. 9 July 1970 4 mi SSW Limbani Dept. Per. Pere. (3000' 28 live traps took 1 Oryzomyne [illegible]; [illegible] 15 snaps took 2 alb. Bolivianis + a large +1 Calomys (catalog) oryzomyne (catalog); Celi's 320 snaps took 3 alb. Bolivianis. Clear calm morning. E.T.K. set and Apostoliba (L.C. et al.). This area of boulders, rock walls, grass, brush, damp - some moss, ferns. A few flowering shrubs. Car stuck in hole, so some delay. Drove to Limbani. Then offer good road, slightly climbing, to E. about 4 miles, where a village in steep grasslands w. old tires on. Returned to just below Limbani & drove down rough road for about 4 1/2 miles to Aguacalica & camped by stream. This about 1 1/2 hr. walk from tunnel at end of road (Chamocera) where [illegible] united lots; set no traps. I collected Apostoliba in 1951. Was set about 30 live traps and
