C. Koford 15 Journal 26 June 1969 Ojo Laguna, Chihuahua, Mex. open water hole surrounded by tall rushes. Good water in one spring. I have caught a Bluegill bat in softener of old adobe, + Centery's daughter can't a Myctis near house (both also foundin). | On way out to Carretas saw a jnr. Cygnibolia, mockingbird, scaled Quail. | We took road to Provenencia ranch bytres. Saw Manning Ducks, mockingbirds. Black- throated Sparrows in shrubs, roadrunner (one with baby cottontail, 50gms., in bill). Saw several pairs Scaled Quail, + occasional single, but no young. W. Meadowlark. Black-throated Sparrow carried a grub in bill. Pair of Cygniboliae. In a thole about 7' high, about 10 feet of cactus near, new and old appearing, pinkbore now in size (photod). Provenencia arrives in compound of ranch headquarter. Father's load left; habits Mondays now less (copied). In building rafters saw Barn Swallow nest on: rafters, with 2 young; another nest on mud of well, + one on a door. | (in yard tree) Saw 2 adult Bullsh Orioles in eggs; new said they have a well grown young don't c week ago. Three grooble nests in a mulberry tree; going out of some nests. | A Western Kingbird or nest in fork 20' up a 25' side: tree in yard. Same French nests; young in one, had fledged in another. Another nest w/ kingbird, 20' up in fork Oriented expense. | One man mojojsaid a fish calls moja in reservoir Los Terrones, about 9" long, + taken with soda glass. | We drove across plain toward Rancho El Rio. Mud- lurumed, woking evenly spaced Dejodamp? wounds conspicuous, about every 50 gms. | In Quentin's, Cactus Allen nest with 2-3 young, with pin feathers; 4 nps in brush, nest of grass. | To rafters. in CaƱo del Rios, then 1.4 mi. or up C. Los Varas. all water community, + 1 cattle out on plain. Cygmen - occur. one in canyon bottom to 2' distance. Saw Acorn Woodpecker, Mexican Jay (screak near house + below?). walking slowly up C. Los Varas. Cacer (?) Flycatcher, of Nepetii Tamoyes (on shrub protruding from fore ```</div>```
