Hood Is, Galapagos Is.
27, + shot chestnut one. 124-16 cm. Tectri 90 x 50, opt.
to scrotum, inv. epid. Cut testis had no epidid.; thimblly
at birth, no obvious sperma flow. Horn 13"; w. ring, 20+
27cm from tip (then 6 to crown). Basal growth rugged & dis-
discin not apparent (less ringing than in ?? ?). Rummer
mostly liver of Cryptos. (50% at least). Little muscle on low.
19 February 1964, about 0745, shot 3 27 27 (?) 200 yds.
E. camp, no site of last yesterday. (The 2 27's) yesterday,
had gone over 1/4 mile W. or shore area.) There in heavily br.
Cryptos. area. / 27 ad., low 15 1/2"; beard 7" long. 131-17.
Dull gray w. white blaze side + small wh. are bare horns.
Horn rings, fr. tip: 15, 25 cm., + 19 much ridged at base. P4 shot.
Bare malar block. Sl. fat ornament. No semen apparent. |
Beard ad. 27, 126-15 cm. Chestnut (black side fore; wh. spot
bare horns), Horn 14 1/2"; rings 17-26 fr. tip; + 10 to base
(too ridged for separation). Testis, opt. to scrotum, 90 x 50 mm.
No appar. semen; sl. fat ornament; mostly Cryptos. liver in
stom. When punctured, about 1/2 gal. water squirted out of
rumen. / 27 ad., 130-15. Chestn. w. white crown. Horn 16;
+ 34
rings 13 + 27 fr. tip; + 5 to base. Testis 5 x 11. G.I. best
from diaphragm to anus, 20 lbs. These stomachs not
as full as in evening, so feed little at night? about
1/2 full rumen. Sl. fat ornament, but generally gray
w. little flesh. / 9 ad., 120-16 1/2. Chestnut, w. toil
1/3 white. Horn 7"; rings, from tip, 6, 12, 15, + 2 cm
to base. Max pros. ?? than 27's; due physiologic
