E., 2 ad. ??; one day, one bay with\nlarge white area site (now white then colored); one chestnut with black\nmiddles & other items. An hour later, same 2 still together.\nAd.\nAnother 2 ??, one day on tar. / On apurita 4 rods high,\nin open, 200 yds. S of large apurita nr camp | Parkerfoot\nOrtiz reported seeing at least 5 young apuritas in likes to\nsummit yesterday. P said he saw an gp. about 15 goats.\nIn elators (?) nesting one above cliffs, Cryptocarpus\nbrowned very low by goats. B+C little browned. I\nfound leaves on stubs (2\") Cretan larch; goats tried to\ncut them off?\n\n15 February 1964. By Costio's boat to Puerto Carllos; took over\n2 hr. Now 1 abal shark, 1 Chelon, or way. On point, one young\nflying headed albatross ran about, then ads seen. Marked\nlooking for eggs & young; a few hundred. Prob fork-tailed gulls\nnesting, but no blue-footed boobies. / In an rocky hill area, mod.\nAssuming - like succulent, mod. I found but still going strong.\nSaw no goats, but many droppings & skeletons. Bits of old\nredes station (to 1945?). Several aspect of gray dead brush cut\nout & told much of it marquis with few leaves; some leafless\nCordia, & other leafless species. Goats had browned Cryptocarpus\nheavily, but grew. Costio ran; now always near landing\narea. We had new red pasture trees nr. NE pt. of island, &\nseveral on small offshore islands.
