Barrington Is., Galapagos Is,
perhaps 1-2 mos. SW of highest (W.)
summit, I saw 16 geese at once. Widely spaced large brown and

400 yds. distant from three. In gp. of 11, only 3 brown. (Both on a
vivacious block marked as black. / On summit flat, prostrate buck
lunch of Brosopic type, green leaves, some legume fruits, sticking. Not

leaf D and smelling of fresh sea peats. / On windward slope, S. side -
island, lichen common - rocks seen painted in pale yellow green,

one slope the "mangosito" lucules to 10' high, sparsely spread, lowered
at 5'. Look at about 600' level, apparent dried sand, with
many stiles dead sedge, cropped at 3-6". No living sedge
seen (as on inlet in bay). / Also left summit 1/30. About 1330,
came a band 6 ??, 2 ln. + black, all ads. Near them a black

head
& pulled up so no throat & chin in straight line. Killed him, but found
no wound. Drag out ground into a long thrashing site.
