At 7:15 a group of 4 appeared briefly at top of ridge a little SW of where 5 had come over, then disappeared. At the same time, 2 came over ridge 100 yd. SW of B ♂ and walked SW 100 yd. and grazed. At 7:30 B group still as last described. The 3 now moved up to join the ♂, then all walked SW until 100 yd. from 2. Now they seemed to see the 2 for the first time. ♂ chased the 2, ♀♀ followed. Chased them clear across A group territory and over the hill. (A group still up the canyon with A ♂ out of sight.) 2 B♀♀ ran after ♂ across A territory, other ♀ stopped at boundary. When ♂ stopped, 2♀♀ ran back to join 3rd. ♂ also loped back to join them and all grazed. Aug. 5 11:00 am group of 8 by big rock below our house (B group territory). No others in any part of A or B territory visible from rock shelter. 2 ♀♂ prone. One went down to far down end of territory (GREEN end of S ridge) to chase back a group of 5 (including one young) which came over the hill. 2:40 pm 6 A's near house, 4 B's by rock, (can't see all).
