M. Koford 1951 7/31 8 mi. SSW Limbani, 15000', Dpto Puno Vicuña (4) also all up, near NE (low) end of S ridge. Sun hit both groups 6:20. Just before sun hit, one of A's rolled 3 times, another twice. 6:35 B →? walked 100 ft. up slope, defecated, then walked and loped 100 yd. up slope to west. They other 3 moved 50 yd. along the slope (SW), loping a little, then stopped and grazed. → walked back to 50 yd. from them and grazed. At 7:00 one A was prone. A group of 5 came over S ridge at end of rocky part 200 yd. NE of A's moving toward them. A → moved 100 yd. toward them. They stopped and he stopped. One of them watched him, other 4 grazed. → returned to his ?? The 5 moved on toward A's along base of rocks. A → started toward them again. The 5 moved up into the rocks and continued. They passed within 50 yd. of A?? The A→ made them lope a little as they passed but did not follow once they were past. They stopped on the green part 100 yd. above A's and grazed. Suddenly they all ran downhill a little way toward AA- The A→ started toward them again and they moved out of sight. A → followed out of sight and A ?? moved in direction
