When I looked again about 15 minutes later they were in the same position and about 5 were again lying down, the rest grazing. When Carl came down the canyon to the house, they all looked up and one gave the alarm call, then they began grazing again (11:15). The ones lying down didn't stand up and one of them began rolling. I walked out to meet Carl and the group bunched up and moved a little uphill. When he went out at 12:00 to look again about half were lying down. July 20 Started watching Carl's groups from stone shelter (A) at 1:00. 6 up hill, 5 between, 5 near shelter. 1:10 5 started down canyon, 1 between (B) followed them all the way down to 100 yd. from our house where they started grazing. B then returned to group on hill. 1:17 9? on hill: 4 lying down, 2 grazing. 1:25 1 of 4 stood up. 1:29 another ? now standing, ? lying down. or start their movement (B didn't chase them?) they paid no attention; when they stopped he stopped.)
