C. Koford Journal September 10, 1951 Ariconia, 1500'. Oto. Piro. Perc. food not eaten; wrong kind Amicio? Watched vicinor near Lee Lake 9-10:30 a.m. &/10 overcast by 11 a.m. + rest of day. Occasional snow- flokes & patches fog. Picked up most of traps & set others so that 32 total out (4 live, as stated). Max. temp. +14° C. Halfmoon; overcast evening. September 11, 1951. Min. temp. -1°. Last night. Half overcast 6 a.m., all 7 a.m. (cumulo stratus). Flooes of several black & yellow spinnier not uncommon. About 20 horses in S. pasture today. Breaker in clouds by 9 a.m. & fair breeze up canyon. Max. temp. +14° C. Watched vicinor near Lee Lake 7-12. Traps held 2 A. yelkii. additional sheep near House during day. Set 20 traps near stone corral & rocks near House; 52 total. (m/k catalog) September 12, 1951. Min. temp. -1 °C. Traps held: 1 Nuttomp, light ram & snow in night & high stratus overcast in morning; & occasional snow flurries. Watched vicinor near Lee Lake 9:30- 11:30 a.m.; returned to house. Set 6 more snap traps at base of a stone corral near house (for P. pictus) - one had a picture or 3 hrs. late. Another picture by 5 p.m. Rain & snow, light, increasing in late afternoon. Max. temp. 14 °C. (left moon)! Had been relieved; pets & swm. September 13, 1951. Min. temp. -1°C. Trace of snow on ground. High stratus overcast 6 a.m. - remained cloudy 9/10 to 9/10. Traps held: P. pictus or (m.K. catalog). Watched vicinor near Lee Lake 8-9 a.m. Rebuilt some snap traps. Took up traps near House. Drizzle & wet snow in afternoon. Max. temp. +9° C. September 14, 1951. About 4" new snow on ground in morn- ing & high gray overcast. Min. temp. -1°. Last night. Traps held nothing (took up 4 - about 20 out includ- ing sand & Sherman).
