of them lay down (with legs under)
(2 old, 1 young)
and then 3 of these lay down all the
way onto their sides with legs
stretched out. One stayed well away
from the other 9 for the whole time.
We returned to camp and I walked up
to the stone house by the lower lake
uphill
basin. From here I could see two
groups of 4 adults each. I walked
up to the upper lake basin. There was
[=low foot, knotted]
a lone one near the stone house where
I saw one yesterday. To one side
of it was a group of 3 and the other
direction a group of 4 - all adults
and definitely not any of the same
ones I just saw from the house.
Also very little chance that any of
these were the same ones as any of the
30 we saw higher up when we drove
up the road.
May 27
At 1:30 pm I walked up camp canyon.
By the house above the lakes (near which
I saw on yesterday) was one a little
below the house and one a little above.
Below the lake (toward camp) was a
band of 3 which ran north over the
ridge. At 3:30 there was only one -
