C. Koford 103 Journal August 8, 1951 Ancoma, 15000'; Dpto. Rno, Pcrc- at 10:30 a.m., relative humidity 17% (some yesterday 1 p.m., M.R.). August 9, 1951. Temps., -5°, +10°. Clear. Breezy down canyon at sunrise. At Fox Lake saw 2 Amaz, 3 grblue (black + white heads, gray body), 1 shovelers (dusky with pale cheek). Nearly one frog in clear cold & deep water. Shot a Leptasthenura. Upset? No. 3/10 cumulus & alto stratus clouds day & p.m. Shot one Amaz in one of 5 fards. August 10, 1951 Nr. To J Limbani, 11500'; Dpto. Rno. Checked on local bands receiver, then departed for Limbani. Camped 1 mile from town at 11600'. Set 4 traps on west slope of canyon among rocks & brush, green damp area. Set 34 there on E. side canyon near grass & stone walls, little brush. Before dark west side traps took 1 P. pictus, 2 Abledurae (smell), 1 A. jolshii. One Notornis by 7 p.m. Shot, blue-bell hummingbird. Smoky haze. Cool damp evening. August 11, 1951 Nr. Limbani + Aricoma, Dpto. Rno. Picked up traps 9-11 a.m. Western line held (small Abledurae. Eastern line held 2 Phyllosis daminii?, 1 P. pictus, 1 small Abledurae. Took off shot 1 hummingbird, 2 tit-like tyrants, 1 other flycatcher, 1 shot tailed streaked breast [?]. Returned to Aricoma campsite at noon. At Limbani saw Zonotrichia capensis, garden gray breasts, Phrygilus, Canes, Cinclade? large Turdus, & other birds. August 12, 1951 Aricoma, 15000'; Dpto. Rno Min. temp. -5½°C. Clear, dry (22% at 8 a.m.). Put up specimens. August 13, 1951. Watched receiver 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Temps.
